is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1991. Blending grunge-era edge with melodic, shoegaze-influenced atmosphere, the band broke through with their self-titled 1993 debut and the breakout single “Believe,” which became their signature track.

The “Believe” video became an MTV staple, landing in the network’s Buzz Bin rotation and helping propel dig onto larger stages. The band toured extensively and shared bills with artists such as the Ramones, Bad Brains, Henry Rollins, Radiohead, and the Flaming Lips. “Believe” charted on Billboard, reaching No. 19 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart and No. 34 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
